Travel Allowance

Each official is entitled to a Travel Allowance per game site (not per game)

The travel allowance is: $9.00

Example 1:

Official referees a JV match at 4:00 and a Varsity match at 7:00 at Colonie HS
Two game fees and one travel allowance

Example 2:

Official referees a JV match at 4:00 at Albany HS and a Varsity match at 7:00 at Bleeker Stadium
Two game fees and two travel allowances

Officials are entitled to this travel allowance for both games and scrimmages.

Scrimmages

Officials working scrimmages are entitled to:

• One half game fee, based on the level of the scrimmage
• Note: any scrimmage longer than 100 minutes is considered two scrimmages for fee purposes

Late Fees

Teams/Officials must wait 30 minutes past the scheduled start time. A fee of $10 would be assessed for minutes 31-45. If the teams leave, the official would only be assessed the contest fee. If the officials leave, the teams would only be assessed the contest fee.

If the contest is ready to start, and the teams/officials choose to remain and play:

• Cause - Team not ready: Official would receive the game fee plus a $10.00 late fee
• Cause - Official not ready: Official would receive the game fee less a $10.00 late fee

Weather Cancellations

If the official is notified before traveling to the game site, there is no compensation for weather-related cancellations.

If the match is canceled at the game site before the match begins, the official is entitled to one-half game fee.

Once the match is started, the official is entitled to the entire game fee, regardless of when the match is abandoned.
